What do I need to bring?

  • Your cat should arrive at the cattery in a secure cat carrier which will remain safe during their stay.

  • You should also bring enough food for your cat to last them their stay.

  • We supply everything else, however, you are welcome to bring their usual bed, blankets, toys etc if you feel this would be beneficial.

Do I need to bring food for my cat?

  • Yes, you should bring enough of your cat’s usual food to last them their stay. A sudden change in diet can upset their stomach so it is important to keep them on their regular food to allow them to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

What if my cat has a special diet? 

 

  • You can provide us with your cat’s usual food during their stay. We have a fridge and freezer to store fresh food if this is preferred.

What if my cat is on medication?

 

  • We are happy administer your cat's daily medication needs as long as we have full written instructions from you and that the medication is prescribed by your Veterinary Surgeon.

Does my cat need to be vaccinated?
 

  • All cats must have up-to-date vaccinations for feline panleukopenia, feline parvovirus, also known as feline infectious enteritis, feline respiratory viruses (feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus).

  •  Vaccinations should be administered within the last 12 months and no less than 14 days before their arrival.

  • For kittens, this must be at least 28 days after their second primary vaccination.

  • Evidence of vaccination records will be required.

Do I need to de-flea and worm my cat?

 

  • To ensure the health and safety of your cat and our other guests, please treat your cat for fleas and worms approximately two days before arrival. This ensures they remain protected throughout their stay with us.

​What happens in my cat becomes unwell?

 

If your cat becomes unwell during their stay, we will notify you immediately. We request information about your cat’s past and current medical conditions. In the event of illness, we make every effort to keep you fully informed.

Our local vet can contact your own veterinarian if further medical history is needed and is available to respond to any emergencies at the cattery. Please note that you are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during your cat’s stay.
